The Florence E. Taylor Charitable Foundation was incorporated in 1997, with funds being awarded to deserving women entering first or second year of post-secondary education.
The foundation is a separate entity from P.E.O., but because of Florence’s ties with P.E.O., their board usually includes a member from P.E.O. Chapter C and other P.E.O. members.
Scholarship Amounts
- The scholarship amount was $1,000 since 1997
- In 2025, the scholarship amount was increased to $2,000
Highlights
- An Alberta or Saskatchewan resident for at least 2 years
- Entering first or second year of full-time study in her first degree or diploma program
- Demonstrates financial need
- Demonstrates commitment to her educational goal
- Will require a Letter of Reference and a copy of an official transcript
- A local chapter recommendation must be submitted by August 15th, but should start 1 or 2 months prior in order to complete all requirements
