P.E.O. Scholar Award (PSA)
Established in 1991 to provide substantial merit-based awards for women from Canada and the United States who are pursuing a doctoral-level degree at an accredited college or university.
Maximum Award Amount
- Maximum $25,000 award
Highlights
- Must have a bachelor’s degree, at a minimum and is pursuing a doctoral-level degree
- Must be within 2 years of degree completion, with at least one academic year remaining from the date the first award payment is made (August 1)
- Often better to apply further into the doctoral program when evidence of achievement is more complete
- A local chapter nomination is accepted from August 20 to November 20, but should start 1 or 2 months prior in order to complete all requirements
