P.E.O. Provincial Philanthropies
If friendship is the cornerstone of P.E.O., then philanthropy is the bridge. P.E.O. members have a shared mission of empowering women through education.
Below are the provincial philanthropies in P.E.O. Alberta-Saskatchewan.
Alberta-Saskatchewan Cottey College Fund
Funds assist potential students with travel to Cottey College to visit the campus and accepted students with their tuition.
Evelyn Henry Reconciliation Scholarship
Provides financial assistance to a female student enrolled in a post-secondary institution, which includes courses in Indigenous Studies and a plan to use her education to further develop reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples of Canada.
Florence E. Taylor (F.E. Taylor) Charitable Foundation Scholarship Fund
This fund was started by Florence Taylor, a member of Chapter C, Alberta. First and second year female post-secondary students may apply. The foundation is a separate entity from P.E.O., but because of Florence’s ties with P.E.O., their board usually includes a member from Chapter C and other P.E.O. members.
