P.E.O. STAR Scholarship (STAR)

Established in 2009 to provide scholarships for exceptional women in their final year of high school to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in Canada or the United States in the next academic year.

Award Amount

  • $2,500 scholarship

Highlights

  • Exhibits excellence in leadership, academics, extra-curricular activities, community service and potential for future success
  • Minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Is in the final academic year of secondary education and is 20 years of age or under at the end of the calendar year
  • 2 personal references and a high school transcript, through  to Grade 11, will be required
  • A local chapter recommendation must be submitted between August 15 and October 15, but should start 1 or 2 months prior in order to complete all requirements
