P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund (ELF)

The P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund (ELF) is a loan fund established in 1907 to lend money to qualified women students in need of financial assistance, to assist them in securing a higher education.

Maximum Loan Amounts

  • $12,000 for an accredited non-degree program or an associate degree
  • $15,000 for bachelor’s degree programs
  • $20,000 for master’s degree programs
  • $25,000 for doctoral degree programs

Highlights

  • Must be within 6 to 24 months prior to the stated graduation or course completion date
  • One qualified co-signer is required
  • Loan interest rate is 2%
  • A local chapter recommendation must be submitted at least 6 months prior to the candidate’s graduation or course completion date, but should start 1 or 2 months prior in order to complete all requirements
